(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Seaforth resident with Possession of Methamphetamine and Failing to Comply with an Undertaking following a traffic stop in April.
On April 14, 2022, at approximately 7:57 a.m. a Huron OPP officer stopped a car on Sills Street in Seaforth and the passenger immediately took off running trying to flee. Officers recognized the passenger as being wanted so they gave chase and were able to catch up and make an arrest.
A search incident to arrest revealed the accused was in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Additionally, it was learned the accused was failing to comply with conditions of an earlier release from custody.
As such the accused, Gerald REID, 43 years of age from Huron East has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine & Failure to Comply with an Undertaking.
