Impaired Driver Charged With Assault With Weapon

(WEST PERTH, ON) – A Perth East resident is facing a number of charges after an assault in the Municipality of West Perth.

On February 27 2021, just before 6:00 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault with a weapon that had just occurred at a residence, and the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle. It was reported that the suspect was possibly impaired.

The vehicle was located driving on Perth Line 44, in the Municipality of West Perth, where it was stopped by police. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle was showing signs of impairment. They were arrested and brought to a local OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result, Kylee PAULI, 36, of Perth East, has been arrested and charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
• Assault
• Assault with a Weapon
• Resist Peace Officer
• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
• Mischief Over $5000

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
