(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On March 10, 2021 at 9:03 p.m. the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fail to remain collision between a car and a cyclist on Rouse Road, near Bruce Road 9, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
The cyclist was riding a bicycle on Rouse Road when they were struck by a car. The car did not stop and offer assistance or wait for police to arrive at the scene. The car fled the area.
The involved driver and car have been located.
As a result of this investigation, Grey Bruce have charged Rodney WRIGHT, 53 years-of-age, from Wiarton, with fail to stop at accident causing bodily harm, section 320.16(2) Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused must appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on April 15, 2021.
