(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with a criminal driving offence following a traffic stop on Orange Street North in the Town of Clinton, Municipality of Central Huron.
Just before 7:30 p.m., on Sunday, December 28, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop to check the sobriety of the vehicle driver. Police spoke to the driver who was suspected of consuming alcohol prior to driving. The driver refused to provide a breath sample to police as required by law.
The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton where they further refused to provide breath samples.
Evan GUEST, 28 years-of-age from Central Huron has been charged with:
– Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 09, 2026.
