(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with Impaired driving following a collision on January 22nd at approximately 11:25 a.m.
Huron County OPP, Central Huron Fire Department and Huron County Paramedic Services were called to the scene of a collision on January 22nd, 2023. Upon arrival, emergency services discovered that a single vehicle had impacted a family home located on William Street South in Central Huron (Clinton), causing considerable damage to the involved pickup truck and residence. Investigation revealed that the pickup truck driver had been travelling Westbound on Townsend Street and failed to stop at the posted stop sign, crossing over William Street South, over a curb and into the front of the residence. The lone driver was transported to hospital for minor injuries.
Police spoke to the driver and determined that they were under the influence of a drug(s) while driving. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and taken into custody.
Johnathon SCHRIVER, 29 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

The accused was additionally charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 27th, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
