Drug Bust – Mackenzie MORPHEW-SMITH

(LONDON, ON) – An individual is charged following multiple executed search warrants in London.

On February 18, 2026, members from the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), West Region Intelligence Unit, Elgin-Middlesex CSCU, with the assistance of the West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and West Region OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant at three addresses on Speight Crescent, Commissioners Road, and Scanlan Road.

The search warrants were obtained as part of an ongoing drug investigation that began in September 2025.

As a result of the searches, police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, oxycodone, Canadian currency, and other offence-related items. The combined estimated value of the items seized is approximately $41,900.

As a result of the investigation, Mackenzie MORPHEW-SMITH, a 29-year-old of London, has been arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid

The accused was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of London on February 24, 2026.

In addition, a 28-year-old individual of Kincardine, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and turned over to London Police Service.
