(NORTH PERTH, ON) – One person has been charged with multiple offences following a motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of North Perth.
On March 15, 2026, shortly after 6:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Perth Road 165 near the town of Listowel, where a single motor vehicle had collided with a roadway barrier and was immobilized on the roadway.
There were no reported injuries from the collision.
The driver, 63-year-old Dale Jones of Howick Township was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
The accused was released from custody, scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on April 13, 2026. The accused is also facing a 90-day drivers licence suspension, 7-day motor vehicle impoundment as well as tow and impound fees.
