(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop on January 01, 2026, in the Municipality of Central Huron.
Just before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 01, 2026, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle that was located stopped on Huron Road in Central Huron. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.
David FISHER, 62 years-of-age from Central Huron has been charged with:
– Impaired Operation – Over 80.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 09, 2026.
