49 Year Old From Howick Arrested – Details Released

(HOWICK TOWNSHIP, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Howick Twp resident with Prohibited Driving along with several other provincial offences following a traffic stop on November 21, 2025. 

On Friday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m., Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Amberley Road in Howick Twp.  

Officers confirmed that the male driver was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code and was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody.

Jason RICHARDSON, 49 years-of-age from Howick Twp has been charged with:

–      Operation while Prohibited.

The accused was additionally charged with six provincial offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA), Tobacco Tax Act (TTA), and Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA).

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 12, 2026, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
