(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A Mount Forest resident has been charged with impaired driving after being found asleep at the wheel.
On October 11, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint from a concerned member of the public, reporting an unresponsive driver in a vehicle parked in a live lane on Main Street in Mount Forest.
As a result of the investigation, Lawrence CALDER, a 21-year-old from Mount Forest, was charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while Impaired – blood and alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on October 21, 2025.
