Adult Charged For Having Over 30 Grams Of Weed In Public

(NIPIGON, ON) – On December 1^st 2020 at approximately 1 pm officers from the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check on First Street in the Town of Nipigon.

Officers conducting the RIDE check had an opportunity to stop a driver. The officers conducted an investigation that lead to the seizure of a quantity of marihuana.

Joseph Marshall age 57 of Red Rock, Ontario is charged with:

• Possession of over 30g dried cannabis in a public place, contrary to the Cannabis Act 8(1)(a).
