(NORTH HURON, ON) – A North Perth resident has been charged with Stunt Driving following a traffic stop that took place in Whitechurch yesterday afternoon.
On December 15, 2021 at approximately 2:37 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR patrols on Bruce Road 86 when a westbound pickup truck was observed speeding into the village. The officer utilized a RADAR device and was able to measure the speed of the pickup truck at a rate in excess of 100 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, 33-year-old Travis FOTHERINGHAM from North Perth, was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Perform a Stunt – Speed by 40 km/h or more. He will now have to attend Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich on January 25, 2022.
