Cobourg Police have arrested and charged a 24‑year‑old man following an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, while on general patrol, officers were approached by a distressed female who reported that her boyfriend had smashed her vehicle’s windshield before fleeing the area. Officers quickly located the man.
As a result of the police investigation, a 24‑year‑old man from Scarborough was arrested and charged with Domestic Mischief, Assault with a Weapon, three counts of Assault, and Intimidation.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently remanded into custody.
