Methamphetamine Bust In London

On December 14, 2016 members of the Guns and Drugs Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant at an Elizabeth Street residence.

The following items were located and seized from the residence:

– 86 grams of Marihuana – $ 860

– 81 grams of Methamphetamine – $ 8100

– 25 x 4 mg Hydromorphone tablets – $200

– 5 x Clonazapam tablets – $25

– 3 x 18 mg Hydromorphone capsules – $ 120

– $249.60 in Canadian Currency

Total Value of Drugs Seized – $9,305

Total Canadian Currency Seized – $249.60

As a result of this investigation, Thomas Broadbent (54 yrs) of London, is charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:

– Four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a schedule I substance, contrary to section 5(2).

Paul O’Connell (44) of London, is charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:

– Possession of a schedule I substance, contrary to section 4(1); and

– Possession for the purpose of trafficking in a schedule II substance, contrary to section 5(2).
