(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On December 4, 2016, at approximately 1:45 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an incident of sexual assault.
A 21-year-old female from London, Ontario, had contacted an online transportation service. During the ride to a destination in Southwest Middlesex, Ontario, the female was sexually assaulted in the vehicle by the male Uber driver.
Officers arrested the driver at the scene.
As a result of the police investigation, 41-year-old Islam SOLIMAN, from London, Ontario, has been charged with sexual assault, and forcible confinement, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London, Ontario, court on December 22, 2016.
