(PERTH SOUTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently on scene of a two vehicle collision that has occurred northwest of St. Marys.
At approximately 1:45 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedic Services and an area Fire Department crew responded to the crash scene located on Perth Road 163 between Line 8 and Line 10.
Officers have determined a Chevrolet compact was travelling southbound on Perth Road 163 when the driver lost control of his vehicle and entered into the path of a northbound Ford pickup truck resulting in a head-on collision.
The single occupant, male driver of the Chevrolet compact was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver and lone occupant of the Ford pickup was treated and released from the scene with minor injuries.
Members from the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team are en-route to the crash scene to assist with the collision investigation.
Perth Road 163 remains closed between Line 8 & Line 10.
