(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On December 23, 2016 at approximately 2:33 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Grey Rd. 17B in the Township of Georgian Bluffs after it was observed weaving on the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle, a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, had been drinking alcohol. After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests which he failed/refused to provide.
Twenty-nine year old Johnathon Wayne MERVYN of Owen Sound was charged with Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired (Alcohol) and Fail/Refuse to Provide Breath Sample.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on January 5, 2017.
