(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Sunday December 25, 2016, at around 11:15 p.m., members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Perth Road 131 and Line 61, south of the Town of Milverton. The collision involved a horse drawn buggy and a Volkswagon car.
All four occupants of the horse drawn buggy were transported to an area hospital by ambulance for treatment. Passengers in the car were uninjured.
Members from the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team attended and assisted with the collision investigation. The intersection of Perth Road 131 and Line 61 was closed for a period of time while the initial investigation took place.
A 17 year-old passenger from the buggy remains in critical, but stable condition.
