The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 101 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Break and Enter CK17002668
On January 21, 2017 around 3:00 a.m. the alarm went off at the Wallaceburg Christian School located at 693 Albert Street. Through investigation it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered through an unlocked window on the east side of the building. A laptop, two pairs of children’s shoes and one pair of boots were stolen. Total value of the theft was approximately $300.

Youth Turns Himself in on Outstanding Warrant CK17002674
On June 10, 2016 the male youth was charged with breach of probation and was released with a future court date. On June 20, 2016 he failed to attend court. A warrant for his arrest was issued.
Yesterday morning the 16 year old Wheatley youth turned himself in to police. He was released pending a future court date of Monday, January 30, 2017.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK17002678
Back in June, 2016 the woman was charged as a result of a shoplifting incident at Sobey’s in Chatham. She was released from custody with conditions not to attend Sobey’s. On January 12, 2017 the woman attended Sobey’s and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for packages of steaks valued at approximately $150. A store employee followed the woman outside and confronted her as she entered a vehicle waiting in the parking lot. The woman returned the steaks and fled the area prior to police arrival. Through investigation police identified the woman and a warrant was issued for her arrest for the offences of failing to comply, theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.
Yesterday around noon the 26 year old Chatham woman was located and arrested on the outstanding warrant. She was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
Woman Charged with Failing to Comply CK17002733
In July, 2016 the woman was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions was to reside at an apartment in Blenheim and to notify CKPS of any change of address within 24 hours.
Last night officers responded to a residence in Wallaceburg in regards to an unrelated matter and located the woman inside the home. Through investigation it was learned that the woman was not living in Blenheim and was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.
The 31 year old woman of no fixed address was charged with failing to comply and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Found Money in Chatham RM17000232
Yesterday morning an undisclosed amount of Pakistani money was found on Heather Drive in Chatham. The Chatham-Kent Police are looking to find the rightful owner of this money.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK17002707
Yesterday afternoon a little after 3:00 p.m. two vehicles were involved in a collision on Oxley Drive at St. Clair Street in Chatham. Minor injuries were reported. Total damage was estimated at $10 000.
A 22 year old Chatham man was charged with failing to yield.
