(ST MARYS, ON) – On February 27, 2017 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of the theft of a pick-up truck from lot of Tim Hortons on Queen Street East in the Town of St Marys.
On February 28, 2017 Perth County OPP were advised that the truck had been recovered by another police agency and was no longer outstanding.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 393-6123. Through investigation it was determined that at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Monday February 27, 2017 a driver left a pick-up truck running and unlocked in the parking lot of this business. A few minutes later an unknown suspect got into the vehicle and drove away. The stolen truck is described as a blue, single cab 2014 Dodge Hemi pick-up truck with a push bar and bearing Ontario licence plate 354-7TJ.

Residents are urged to always lock their vehicles when leaving them unattended and to use a second key to lock the vehicle when leaving it running to warm-up.
