(TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On March 16, 2017 at 7:21 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a serious 2 vehicle crash along Highway 6 in the town of South Bruce Peninsula.
Officers arrived with members of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department and Bruce County EMS to find an Orange Hyundai and a Red GMC Sierra pick-up truck involved in the crash.
The driver of the Hyundai, 63-year-old Paul FERRETTI of Georgian Bluffs, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the vehicle were treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the GMC, a 26-year-old South Bruce Peninsula man, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. A passenger in the truck was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 6 was closed for the protection of emergency responders; it has since re-opened to traffic.
The investigation is continuing.
