A Barrie man is facing criminal charges in connection to a drug trafficking investigation in the city’s downtown.
On Wed., Sept. 2, 2026, at around 6 p.m., the Barrie Police Drug and the High Harm units conducted a drug investigation in the area of Mulcaster Street between McDonald and Codrington Streets.
The 38-year-old man was found in possession of a significant quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and prescription pills. The total value of the drugs seized is estimated to be approximately $40,000. Officers also seized nearly $18,000 cash and an e-bike.
As a result of the investigation, the 38-year-old man is facing the following charges:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
Possess Schedule 1 Substance- Cocaine
Possess Schedule 1 Substance- Fentanyl
Possess Schedule 1 Substance- Hydromorphone
Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
