19 Year Old From Perth East Arrested For Drunk Driving – Name Released

(PERTH EAST, ON) – On Thursday March 16, 2017, at around 1:17 a.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members were conducting a RIDE program at the intersection of Main Street and Mill Street in the Township of Perth East (Milverton).

A blue Dodge pick-up truck entered the RIDE program and was checked. Upon speaking to the driver, the officer smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath and saw signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest for operating motor vehicle while impaired. He was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville for breath tests. He later provided samples of his breath into an Intoxilyzer and registered over the legal limit.

As a result, 19-year-old Brendon KUEPFER from Perth East has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released from custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on April 3, 2017. He also received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and the truck was seized for 7 days.
