North Huron Drug Bust: Schiestel, Bartlett, Salsbury, Southgate-Nicholls, Bryant & Bressette

An investigation conducted by officers from the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and offence-related property. Six individuals have been charged.

An investigation initiated by members of the Huron-Perth CSCU led investigators to an address on Currie Line in the Municipality of North Huron. OPP officers from the Huron-Perth CSCU, Grey-Bruce CSCU, Huron OPP crime unit and officers from the Huron OPP detachment assisted with the investigation.

On Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, a traffic stop was conducted in Huron County, which resulted in the three vehicle occupants being arrested for drug-related offences. A related search warrant was executed that same day in North Huron, which resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs, weapons, and offence-related property.

Quantities of suspected Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Fentanyl, Oxycodone, and Hydromorphone, were seized. The total value of the illegal drugs seized is estimated at $9,064.

Seized offence-related property included weigh scales, packaging, prohibited knives, taser, and cellular phones totalling $3,875.

Scott Schiestel, 46 years-of-age from North Huron has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Oxycodone,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – MDMA,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a later court date at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Andrew Bartlett, 49 years-of-age from North Huron has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a later court date at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Callum Salsbury, 38 years-of-age from No Fixed Address has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine,
  • Possession of Prohibited Device.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a later court date at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Michael Southgate-Nicholls, 39 years-of-age from No Fixed Address has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine,
  • Possession of Prohibited Device – (two counts),
  • Possession of Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order – (two counts).

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a later court date at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Shannen Bryant, 38 years-of-age from North Huron has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Oxycodone,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Hydromorphone,
  • Breach of Probation.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 1st, 2026.

Terese Bressette, 49 years-of-age from North Huron has been charged with:

  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
