Fire At F.E. Madill – One Suffers Life Threatening Injuries

(NORTH HURON, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with emergency services responded to a fire in the Township of North Huron.

On April 7th, 2026 shortly after 8:00 a.m., members of the Huron County OPP, along with Huron County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and North Huron Fire Department, responded to a reported fire at F.E. Madill Secondary School.

The school has been evacuated, and fire crews successfully contained and extinguished the fire.

One person sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to a local hospital.

There is expected to be an increased presence of emergency services in the area. Police are requesting that the public avoid the area.
