(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On April 8, 2017 at approximately 10:10 p.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on general patrol observed 2 vehicles parked on the side of the roadway on 8th Line, Town of Minto. The officer stopped to check on the well-being of the drivers and immediately detected signs of drug and alcohol use. The female driver of a 2010 Ford Escape was showing signs of impairment.
A Drug Recognition Officer conducted the investigation and 18-year-old Ashley CULLING was charged with Care or Control while Impaired by Drug contrary to the Criminal Code. The vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
CULLING is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 16, 2017 to answer to the charge.
