(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On April 16, 2017, at approximately 4:23 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex Centre Fire Services, and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a single motor vehicle crash on Coldstream Road.
A white Subaru car travelling northwest on Coldstream Road left the roadway and entered the northeast ditch, where it struck a tree and caught on fire. The 16-year-old male driver (and lone occupant) was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. He was transported by ambulance with life threatening injuries to hospital, where he remains currently listed in critical condition.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are currently on the scene assisting with the investigation. As a result, Coldstream Road is closed between Gold Creek Drive and Lamont Drive. Motorists must find an alternative route.
This incident remains under investigation.
