Three Males Facing Criminal Charges For Mischief

(TARA, ON) – On April 18, 2017 at 7:16 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of property damage in the village of Tara between the late evening hours of April 15, 2017 and early morning hours of April 16, 2017. Officers arrived and noted that tusks were removed from a large woolly mammoth and a memorial bench had been damaged. As a result of an investigation by the OPP Community Street Crime Unit – Grey Bruce, three males are facing criminal charges.

Twenty-year-old Cale BARFOOT of Georgian Bluffs Township was charged with mischief under $5,000.

An 18-year-old South Bruce Peninsula male was charged with 2 counts of mischief under $5,000.

An 18-year-old Arran-Elderslie male was charged with 2 counts of mischief under $5,000.

Each of the accused is scheduled to appear in court on June 5, 2017 to answer to the charges.
