(PERTH EAST, ON) – On Monday June 19, 2017 shortly after 7:30 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers along with Perth County Paramedic Services and Perth East Fire Department responded to a farm property located on Line 61 in the Township of Perth East.
Emergency services personnel responded to a farm accident at the property involving a 12 year old male that had been working in a barn. The child was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The cause of death has not been determined however foul play is not suspected. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for June 20, 2017. The Perth County OPP and the Office of the Coroner continue to investigate this incident.
The deceased has been identified as Samuel ZEHR, age 12, from Perth East.
