(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On July 15, 2017 at approximately 9:56 p.m., Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report from a concerned citizen with respect to male, believed to be impaired, operating an e-bike on Main Street in Sauble Beach, South Bruce Peninsula.
Police located the suspect on Main Street near Second Avenue South and found him to be intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP detachment for breath tests which he failed. Test results indicated his blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
45-year old William Gerald RITCHIE of Saugeen First Nation was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 mgs.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on July 27, 2017.
