(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On August 10, 2017 at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended to a business in Arthur and encountered a male familiar to them.
The male was located with his vehicle and an attached trailer. On the trailer police observed four Kubota tires and an upper and lower arm of a Kubota tractor. Investigation revealed that the male had stolen these items from a Machinery business in West Grey on August 9, 2017. The approximate value of the items is $3000.
A subsequent search of the vehicle located cheque books belonging to another victim.
30-year-old Wade BRODIE of West Grey Township was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5000 x 2
Possession of a forged document
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Fraud under $5000
He was held for bail court on August 11, 2017
