(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On September 2, 2017 at approximately 6:04 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a man uttering threats to residents on Grey Street in Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate.
While en route, police received a report of a Ford Fusion vehicle being driven erratically throughout the streets of Dundalk. Police located the vehicle parked on Osprey Street. The driver was identified. At 7:21 p.m. police located the male walking on Main Street at which time he was arrested. He had been identified as the suspect in the threats complaint. There were no injuries reported.
40-year old Shawn Brian AGUIAR of the Township of Southgate was charged with seven counts of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Dangerous Operation of a Motor vehicle.
He was held for a bail hearing on September 3rd. He remains in custody pending a video remand scheduled for September 8th.
