(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – A 39-year-old from Central Huron has been charged with Impaired Care & Control, Care & Control Over 80 and Mischief following an incident that took place outside of Brussels this past September.
Just before 8:30 p.m. on September 20th, 2017 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a suspicious persons call located on Cranbrook Road near Brussels. On the way to the call police were informed the suspect vehicle was last seen driving across the property owner’s bean field.
Police arrived on scene and were able to locate the suspect vehicle, a Dodge Ram pickup, stuck in the bean field. The intoxicated driver indicated to police he got lost on his travels. While speaking with the male driver police observed the driver to be displaying several signs of impairment.
As a result he was arrested and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for subsequent breath tests. He later provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered above the legal limit.
Daniel NOTT, 39 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with Impaired Care & Control, Care & Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams and Mischief Under $5,000. He now has a court appearance scheduled for October 23, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
His licence has also been suspended for an automatic 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
