(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On October 7, 2017 at approximately 8:50 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on County 7, near Sixth Line, Township of Centre Wellington. The officer observed a female driving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 135 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
26-year-old Katie ZWARYCZ of Hamilton has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on November 15, 2017. Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
