(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On November 10, 2017 at 3:31 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance that took place at a residence along Concession 14 in Carrick Township. A female had been assaulted with a weapon and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The involved male had left the residence in a pick-up truck before police were called.
The suspect male’s vehicle was located at a residence along Absalom Street in Mildmay. Members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team assisted the South Bruce OPP with a search for the male suspect. He was located and arrested without incident shortly after 11:30 a.m. on November 10, 2017.
A 31-year-old Carrick Township man was charged with 2 counts of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, assault and 2 counts of dangerous driving. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for November 11, 2017.
