(TOWN OF MINTO ON) – On November 13, 2017 at approximately 3:15 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on County Road 123, Town of Minto. The officer observed a male driving a 2016 Ford Fusion travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
20-year-old Cody DAOUST of Listowel has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 20, 2017.His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
