(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On Wednesday November 22, 2017 at approximately 12:00 a.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on The Hanlon Parkway, Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2013 Ford sedan at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h, exceeding 50 km/h over the posted limit.
21-year-old Zachary William SNOEI of St Catharines has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on January 3, 2018.His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
