(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – The Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Auxiliary Unit members hosted food drives at Foodland in Wiarton and Fretz Valu-Mart in Sauble Beach on Saturday, 25 November 2017.
With the participation of the local grocery stores the event was a big success with 2 OPP cruisers and an OPP truck being filled with donated non-perishable food. The OPP would like to thank the public who played the biggest part by stepping-up and making the donations to this worthy cause.
At the end of the event OPP Auxiliary members delivered the donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Wiarton.
There will be another food drive hosted by the OPP this Saturday, 2 December 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Foodland stores in Lions Head and Tobermory.
