(NORTH PERTH, ON) -Residents of Perth County expect safe roadways on which to travel. Their expectation is not unreasonable. However, achieving this is everyone’s responsibility.
Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were busy over the weekend investigating two impaired driving occurrences and a stunt driving occurrence within the Municipality of North Perth. These dangerous actions put the lives of the public at significant risk and will not be tolerated by police.
With the holiday season upon us, the amount of traffic on area roadways is increasing. It is imperative that all motorists remain alert and operate their vehicles responsibly. Road safety is a 24/7 priority, and in addition to ongoing traffic enforcement initiatives, drivers can expect to see Festive R.I.D.E. events occurring throughout the county.
It is discouraging to see drivers in Perth County continue to operate motor vehicles with such disregard for the safety of those around them. We will continue to make every effort to locate and remove those individuals from the road.” Staff Sergeant Stephane Pilon
