If you have been watching/attending North Huron council meetings over the last 7 years you will know exactly how little respect Reeve Neil Vincent and his regime have for the Public they are paid to Represent. Virtually everyone has been a victim of council’s abuse or apathy, including the Blyth BIA, Block Parents, Junction Place Ratepayers, endless delegations, there are too many to mention. The latest on the list is those that are literally willing to risk their lives to save ours, the North Huron Fire Department.
Corruption and incompetence manifest themselves as “Consultant fees” in virtually all levels of governance, North Huron is a textbook example of this. They will pay $3,500 for a $20 roof patch, $486,000 to paint and scrape the front of Town Hall, $14,000 for an afternoon’s work to paint the splash pad etc.
North Huron will spend $20,000 in consulting fees when hiring someone to join their corrupt regime. They say this is needed to help interview select applicants, but I bet you have already figured out the real reason.
Corruption is rampant in North Huron. The only cure is a purge of all remaining senior management, including council.
