(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH) – On Friday, January 19, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check on Gore Road, near Cambridge.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., the driver of a sedan entered the RIDE check. While speaking with the male driver, officers detected the odour of fresh burnt marihuana and suspected that he was in possession of a controlled substance. Investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of marihuana.
46-year-old, Danny J. MAZEROLLE of Cambridge was charged with Possession of Marihuana over 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on February 23, 2018.
