Near the end of the meeting council is going to vote to keep the Wingham police in place. This will further financially ruin North Huron as taxes will need to double in the coming years to cover depleted reserves. There is also a need for a new $1-$10 million Major Crimes Reserve” to cover costs when there is another major crime committed on the Square Mile.
