(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On March 16, 2022 at 12:59 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to the report of a single vehicle collision on Elginfield Road, Middlesex Centre.
An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment where further tests were administered.
As a result, John KICKS, a 64-year-old of Lucan, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol, section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 17, 2022 to speak to the charges.
The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
