Carjacking Attempt Ends With Arrest Of Mitchell HORNE – Cocaine A Factor

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELINGTON, ON) – On May 20, 2018 at approximately 12:00 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a male holding a knife who was attempting to enter a car being operated by a female driver on Tower Street at Belsyde Avenue, Township of Centre Wellington.

Police arrived within moments and located the male party. He was arrested and a search incident to arrest located a quantity of drugs, suspected to be cocaine.

26-year-old Mitchell HORNE of Fergus has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Weapons for a Dangerous Purpose. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on June 26, 2018 to answer to the charges.
