(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday November 08, 2010, shortly after the noon hour, a Perth County OPP officer on patrol observed a motor vehicle at the intersection of Inkerman St. East and Davidson Ave. North in Listowel. The officer stopped the motor vehicle and spoke to the 3 occupants.
One of the occupants was found to be wanted. While searching the vehicle the officer located some suspected crystal methamphetamine residue. A further search of the vehicle and occupants located more suspected Crystal Meth. and suspected Marihuana.
Joan McNichol (59) from Huron East has been charged with two counts of possession of a schedule 1 drug – Methamphetamine. Kimberley Dupuis (47) from Wroxeter has been charged with one count of possession of a schedule 1 drug – Methamphetamine. Both McNichol and Dupuis have been released on a promise to appear with an undertaking and are to attend court on December 08, 2010 in Atwood to answer to the charges.
Michael Benninger (22) from North Huron has been charged with two counts of possession of a schedule 1 drug – Methamphetamine and one count of being in possession of a schedule 2 drug cannabis marihuana. He is held is custody and is awaiting a bail hearing on Tuesday November 09, 2010.
