(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) -Today at approximately 7:30am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a fatal fail to remain collision involving a male cyclist on County Road 7 just south of County Road 51 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
As a result of the combined investigative efforts of the Wellington County OPP, their Traffic Management and Crime Units, officers from the Highway Safety Division (HSD) and the West Region Forensic Identification Unit, Anna Wilson aged 55 of Guelph has been charged with Fail to Remain at Accident Scene contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on January 14, 2014 to answer to the charge.
The male cyclist has been identified as Gordon Krofchick aged 42 of Ariss.
The investigation which is still ongoing revealed that the collision occurred on Wednesday November 6, 2013 between the hours of 10:00pm and 11:30pm.
