(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Monday November 11, 2013, around 6:30 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a truck collision on Hwy 7/8 east of Shakespeare.
Investigation revealed that a Kenworth truck towing a full sized dump trailer was travelling west bound on the highway when the trailer started to skid onto the eastbound lane. The driver lost control of the truck which “jack knifed†and enter the south ditch. The male driver, a 40 year old Brampton resident was transported to Hospital with minimal injuries.
Both east and west bound traffic was diverted onto the west bound lane of Hwy 7/8 until 10:30 p.m., when the truck and trailer were successfully removed from the roadway.
