On the 19th of November 2013 at approximately 9:50am the Owen Sound Police Service along with Owen Sound Fire and Grey County EMS attended 28th Street West and 4th Ave West as a result of a two vehicle collision.
The investigation revealed that a 2008 Toyota was travelling eastbound on 28th Street while a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was travelling southbound on 4th Avenue West. The 52 year old female operating the Chevrolet Equinox stopped at the stop sign then proceeded into the intersection directly in the path of the Toyota which was being operated by a 90 year old female. The collision resulted in the 90 year old female being transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The 52 year female was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to yield to traffic on through highway.
