(South Huron, ON) On Sunday, November 21, 2010 shortly before 6:00 am, an Exeter resident heard a loud bang outside his home and looked out the window to investigate. He observed two males walking away from his home so he decided to follow them in his vehicle to see where they went. After obtaining a complete description of the males and their clothing, he noted the address of a residence they entered. Police were contacted and the complainant went home to check for damage. A large investigation then began to unfold as calls came into the OPP reporting damage to vehicles and thefts at various residences in Exeter.
As a result of the investigation, which is still ongoing, two males have been charged. Ian ALDERSON (18) of South Huron is now facing 12 counts of Mischief Under $5,000 and two count of Theft Under $5,000. In addition, Tyler MOFFATT (19) of London is also facing 12 counts of Mischief Under $5,000 and two counts of Theft Under $5,000. Both will answer to their charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on January 27, 2010.
