Stabbing incident downtown
On November 23, 2013, at 2:46 a.m. the Guelph Police began an investigation into an altercation between two groups of individuals in downtown Guelph that resulted in two persons suffering non-life threatening stab wounds. Both injured persons were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. Two arrests were made.
A 37-year-old Guelph man has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, and resisting arrest. He has been held in custody and will next appear in court on November 25, 2013.
A 22-year-old Guelph man has also been charged with one count of assault. He will appear in court on December 10, 2013.
